The Patan Trilogy by Kanaiyalal Munshi
Translated as The Glory of Patan by Rita and Abhijit Kothari

Patan Ni Prabhuta (2014 edition)

The trilogy comprises of Patan Ni Prabhuta or 'The Glory of Patan', Gujarat No Nath or 'The Lord of Gujarat', and Rajadhiraj or 'The King of Kings'. It deals with the Solanki rule in Gujarat and each novel has a separate story.


Divyachakshu by R. V. Desai

Adarsh Prakashan (2015 edition)

The novel is based on a love triangle between the protagonist Arun and the characters Pushpani and Ranjan. Desai skilfully intertwines the non-violence resistance, role of British officers, secularism, female empowerment, and untouchability in his narrative to successfully chronicle the role of freedom fighters in India.


Mithyabhiman by Dalpatram

Gurjar Sahitya Prakashan (2010 edition)

This is a comic play that tells the tale of Jivaram Bhatt, a man who suffers from nyctalopia, or night blindness, but he refuses to let others know. In this pursuit of secrecy, he causes considerable difficulty and confusion when he visits his father-in-law's house.


Dev Danav by Harkisan Mehta

Pravin Prakashan (2012 edition)

Initially published in the magazine Chitralekha, the protagonist of the story is a guide who aids the reader in their navigation of Nepal's political and socio-cultural life.


Ame Badha by Dhansukhlal Mehta and Jyotindra Dave

Gurjar Sahitya Bhawan (2013 edition)

This is a Gujarati humorous novel whose title can be translated as 'We All'. Widely considered to be the second humorous novel in Gujarati literature after Bhadrambhadra, it narrates the story of the protagonist, Vipin from his birth all the way through marriage.
